The chest is configured with two short drawers over three long graduated drawers, each fitted with turned mahogany knobs and inset brass escutcheons. The carcass is designed with rounded front corners and rests upon a plinth base. The primary timber is mahogany, with pine utilised as the secondary wood for drawer linings and internal components. The construction is typical for the British Victorian period, featuring traditional joinery. No maker’s marks or labels were identified on the piece.
