A rectangular occasional side table featuring a top constructed from joined solid wooden boards. The top surface is decorated with deep relief vernacular carving, featuring a central multi-petalled rosette within a circular border, flanked by four stylised fan or sunburst motifs at the corners, all enclosed within an incised rectangular frame. The base comprises a simple apron with a scalloped lower edge, supported by four turned legs terminating in block feet, which are connected by a square-section H-stretcher. The entire piece is finished in a later application of metallic gold paint. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible.
