A pair of vintage taxidermy specimens featuring preserved deer hooves, likely Roe deer (Capreolus capreolus). Each limb is mounted in a flexed position onto a dark-stained, polished wooden base. The bases are designed in a pointed oval or shield shape with a tiered, bevelled edge. These items were traditionally used as decorative wall hooks for coats, hats, or sporting equipment in a country house style. The specimens retain their natural coarse fur and dark cloven hooves.
