The interior includes a fitted stationery compartment at the top with multiple small divisions designed to hold pens and inkwells. The exterior displays a brass-mounted keyhole and is fitted with metal hinges. A rectangular area on the lid indicates where an inset nameplate was formerly attached. The item bears an auction lot sticker numbered 0216 to the front and a secondary sticker numbered 0026 to the base.
