A collection of polychrome hand-painted porcelain character figurines in the style of Capodimonte. The collection includes various traditional character studies: an elderly craftsman seated at a small wooden desk with a clock and tools; an elderly woman repairing a shoe with a small dog and a spilled vessel at her feet; an elderly cobbler working with a hammer accompanied by a cat; and a group figurine of three boys in rustic dress seated at a table playing a game of cards. Each figure is set upon a white porcelain base, either circular or oval, featuring a distinctive gilt-painted scroll flourish to the front. No factory marks, model numbers, or artist signatures are visible on the pieces.
