The artwork captures the troop in ceremonial full dress, featuring busbies with plumes and frogged jackets, with teams of six horses pulling 13-pounder field guns. Windsor Castle is visible in the background to the right of the composition. The print bears a printed inscription at the lower centre which reads: THE GALLOP PAST at the Review of The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery by Her Majesty The Queen, The Captain-General in Windsor Great Park on 1st June 1987. The work is housed in a dark wood frame with a gold-tone inner slip and an olive-coloured mount.
