The piece is hand-made and hand-decorated, depicting a young girl dressed for rain in a pale yellow raincoat and a matching hat adorned with a single blue flower. She wears bright red Wellington boots and carries a closed blue umbrella. Two small yellow ducklings are modelled on the oval, naturalistic base behind her, which is finished with soft pastel washes. The underside bears a clear black printed backstamp featuring the Royal Doulton lion and crown crest. The mark includes the text: BONE CHINA HAND MADE AND HAND DECORATED, ROYAL DOULTON, CHILDHOOD MEMORIES, Follow Me, DESIGNED IN ENGLAND, and copyright 2006 ROYAL DOULTON CH 10. Two circular firing ventilation holes are located on the base.
