This late Victorian triple wardrobe, dating to approximately 1890, is constructed from mahogany with prominent burr walnut veneers. The piece is surmounted by a removable swan-neck pediment centred by a carved diamond-shaped lozenge featuring floral motifs. The front features a triple-door configuration; the central door houses an arched mirror plate, while the two flanking doors are decorated with upper panels of deeply carved relief work depicting urns and scrolling foliage, positioned above large rectangular panels of book-matched burr walnut veneer. The wardrobe is designed in sections comprising the cornice and pediment, the main hanging compartments, and a deep plinth base. This base contains two wide drawers, both veneered in burr walnut to match the upper sections. The drawers are fitted with decorative brass-tone drop-ring handles on circular backplates, and the central door features a metal ring pull and keyhole.
