A circular occasional table featuring a hand-chased yellow brass tray top resting on a folding wooden base. The tray is decorated with a deeply lobed, scalloped rim and an intricate engraved surface, centred on a complex geometric mandala motif within concentric bands of foliate and floral scrollwork. The wooden stand is constructed from four stained hardwood legs arranged in a spider-leg folding configuration with a central hinge mechanism. Each leg terminates in a brass-capped ferrule foot. No maker’s marks, inscriptions, or signatures are visible. This item is characteristic of North African or Middle Eastern export wares popular in the United Kingdom during the mid-to-late 20th century.
