A set of six dining chairs by James H. Sutcliffe & Son Ltd., comprising four side chairs and two carver armchairs. The frames are constructed from a light-toned hardwood with a teak stain, featuring high-back designs with five fanned vertical slats, characteristic of a post-modern Art Deco revival style. Each chair is fitted with a fixed, padded seat upholstered in a plain grey 100% acrylic fabric. An original paper manufacturer’s label is stapled to the underside of the seating, bearing the printed company name and handwritten details including a date of manufacture of 6/7/92 and batch number 031621. The label also confirms the use of CMHR foam fillings and compliance with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.
