A mid-twentieth-century kitchen or small dining table, dating from approximately the 1950s or 1960s. The rectangular fixed top is finished in a grey and white textured linen-effect laminate, featuring a dark edge banding with a thin metallic inlay detail. The table is supported by four splayed, tubular chrome-plated metal legs, each terminating in a black plastic foot. This style of laminate and chrome furniture was a staple of post-war British interior design and is characteristic of pieces produced by manufacturers such as Remploy and Hygena. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
