A collection of proof coinage from the UK dated 1970, issued by the Royal Mint. This set represents the final annual issuance of pre-decimal currency prior to decimalisation in 1971. The collection comprises eight coins: a half crown, two shillings (English and Scottish reverse types), a sixpence, a brass threepence, a bronze penny, and a bronze halfpenny, accompanied by a square Royal Mint medallion. The coins are secured within a clear plastic display case and housed in the original purple textured presentation box.
