A Spanish glazed porcelain figural group produced by Porcelanas Bales S.L. The composition depicts a young woman wearing a headscarf, blouse, and apron, holding a single pink rose. She stands beside a large, lidded pot-pourri jar, the lid of which is encrusted with numerous delicate hand-applied porcelain flowers in shades of pale blue, cream, and grey. A small grey and white cat with a red bow around its neck sits at the base of the jar. The entire group is set on an integral oval base decorated with soft blue and cream washes. The porcelain is finished in a high-gloss glaze with a muted pastel colour palette typical of 20th-century Spanish workshops. The base retains a rectangular white paper label for Porcelanas BALES S.L. with a BP monogram logo and the handwritten reference number Ref. 329 / G. It is also impressed with the words MADE IN SPAIN above a BP monogram logo, alongside hand-incised characters reading 7 1 6.
