This framed offset lithographic print, titled Fighting Spirit, is by the British military artist Peter Archer. The work depicts a dramatic scene from the Great War, showing British infantrymen in Brodie helmets climbing over the parapet of a trench and advancing across a shell-pitted No Man’s Land amidst explosions and barbed wire. The print bears a printed signature and date in the lower right corner which reads Peter Archer 1988. The title Fighting Spirit is printed in a script font in the centre of the lower margin, with the name Archer printed below it. The piece is presented in a gilt-finished wooden frame under glass.
