A group of Chinese-style decorative figurines crafted from a cream-coloured composition material, such as resin, intended to simulate the appearance of carved ivory. The collection features figures of Budai, also known as the Laughing Buddha, shown in various jubilant poses with raised arms, prayer beads, and traditional robes. Two of these figures are mounted on tiered, black-finished rectangular bases. The group also includes a smaller figure of a seated Buddha in a meditative pose. The figures display incised detailing to the garments and facial features, characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century decorative pieces produced in the style of ivory carvings. No maker marks, signatures, or inscriptions are visible on any of the items.
