A decorative sculpture fashioned from a moulded composite or resin material, finished with a metallic gold-toned surface. The work depicts a Roman charioteer in Classical-style armour, including a plumed helmet and breastplate, steering a pair of rearing horses from a decorated chariot. The sculpture is mounted on an integral rectangular base featuring a textured cobblestone effect on the top surface and a repeating geometric motif around the lower edge. No maker’s marks, signatures, or foundry stamps are visible on the exterior of the piece. The construction appears to be a solid cast typical of mid-to-late 20th-century ornamental items.
