This commemorative lithographic print, titled Arnhem, is after an original oil painting by the artist Geoffrey E. Lea. The work was commissioned to mark the 50th anniversary of the actions of the 1st Airborne Division during Operation Market Garden on 17 September 1944. The scene depicts Douglas C-47 Dakota aircraft in flight over the landing and drop zones at Renkum Heath. The print is hand-signed in pencil by the artist, Geoffrey Lea, in the lower right margin. It is additionally hand-signed in pencil by Major General J.D. Frost (John Frost) in the lower left margin. Major General Frost was the Commanding Officer of the 2nd Parachute Battalion during the battle of Arnhem. The lower corners of the margin are decorated with the printed insignia of the Parachute Regiment. The print is presented within a maroon double mount and a gold-coloured frame. No edition number is visible in the margins.
