A large Neoclassical style console table in the Louis XVI revival taste. The piece features a rectangular top with a high-gloss off-white lacquered finish, bordered by a slender gold-toned metal rim. The deep frieze is heavily ornamented with a continuous relief band of gilded foliate scrolls, acanthus leaves, and berry motifs. The table is supported by two substantial scroll-form console pedestals, each intricately decorated with gilded acanthus leaf carvings. The pedestals rest on stepped, rectangular plinth bases. There are no visible maker’s marks, labels, or stamps present on the exterior of the piece. A contemporary auction lot sticker numbered 0021 is present on the top surface.
