This writing set was manufactured by Platignum in England and comprises a fountain pen and a matching ballpoint pen. Both items are made with black resin barrels and caps, accented with silver-toned metal clips and trim. The ballpoint pen features a push-button top and the clip is embossed vertically with the maker name PLATIGNUM. The fountain pen has a capped design with a silver-toned clip. The set is contained within its original red and black patterned presentation box. The interior of the box is lined with a cream satin-effect fabric and includes a yellow retaining ribbon. The inside of the lid is printed with the mark Platignum MADE IN ENGLAND.
