A collection of mid-20th-century British safe driving awards and insignia, primarily issued by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and the Company of Veteran Motorists (CVM). The group contains several green fabric ribbons with red diagonal stripes associated with the RoSPA National Safe Driving Competition. Affixed to these ribbons are metal bars in an oak leaf pattern featuring the years 1942, 1945, 1946, 1947, and 1948. Other bars include five-pointed star designs with numbers 18 and 19, and silver-tone bars numbered 62, 63, 64, and 65. Anniversary awards feature a red and white bar numbered 20 and a circular badge numbered 25. A round silver-tone medal is present, partially inscribed with the word DRIVING. The collection also includes red triangular enamel badges for the Company of Veteran Motorists, which feature a central wheel motif. Multiple red plastic mounting washers are included. The items are stored in two vintage metal tins.
