A pair of Royal Doulton English fine bone china mantel clocks in the Biltmore pattern (H 5189). Each clock features a waisted case with an arched top and flared base, decorated with dark teal marbled panels within gilt geometric and foliate borders. The circular white dials are set with black Roman numerals and spade-style hands, framed by gold-tone bezels. The dial faces are marked Royal Doulton. The underside of each base bears a brown printed backstamp for Royal Doulton, including the pattern name Biltmore, the reference H 5189, and a copyright date of 1990. The pattern name on the base of these items has been struck through with a factory mark, indicating they were originally retailed as seconds.
