A large cobalt blue pressed glass centrepiece bowl in the Art Deco style, dating from the mid-20th century. The bowl features a wide, flared body decorated with vertical fluting that tapers towards the base. The rim is finished with a scalloped piecrust edge. It stands on a circular, integral foot that bears matching ribbed decoration. No moulded or etched maker’s marks are visible on the body or base of the glass. Two small white stickers are present on the underside of the foot, though the characters are not clearly legible. This item is consistent with British Art Deco pressed glass production from manufacturers such as Bagley or Davidson.
