A collection of approximately 15 antique woodworking hand tools, primarily dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The collection features a variety of wooden hand planes, including moulding planes of various profiles and bench planes such as jack and smoothing planes. Also included is a wooden marking gauge with a brass thumbscrew and a single handled chisel or gouge. The planes are predominantly constructed from beechwood with steel or iron cutters and wooden wedges. One large block plane displays an impressed maker stamp on the front end grain reading D. BLOOMFIELD, indicating manufacture by Daniel Bloomfield of London. Other planes in the lot show maker stamps on their front ends that are not clearly legible. The items are consistent with British tool manufacturing traditions of the Victorian and Edwardian eras.
