An assortment of antique and vintage woodworking hand tools and components, primarily of British origin, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The collection includes a group of wooden moulding planes of various profiles, constructed from hardwood, likely beech. These planes feature traditional shaped escapements and wooden wedges. Accompanying these is a larger wooden bench plane, specifically a smoothing plane, comprising a heavy wooden stock, steel iron, and wooden wedge. A separate red plastic container contains a variety of loose items: a wooden mallet with a rectangular head, a turned wooden handle, several loose steel plane irons in various sizes, and three brass keys of a simple lever-lock style. No legible maker’s marks are visible on the tools, which are marked with adhesive auction lot labels 1524.
