A set of three mini-format hardcover books comprising the original Star Wars trilogy novelisations from The Mighty Chronicles series. The collection includes the titles Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. These editions were published by the British publishing house Boxtree and are adapted by John Whitman.
The volumes feature distinctive stylised graphic art on the glossy hardback boards. The Star Wars volume (Episode IV) features a purple and black colour scheme with a depiction of Darth Vader. The Empire Strikes Back volume features a red and black design depicting the lightsaber duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. The Return of the Jedi volume features a blue and black design with an illustration of Emperor Palpatine. Each book is constructed with printed boards and a hardback binding. The publisher mark BOXTREE is clearly visible on the spine of the Star Wars volume.
