A large hand-blown studio glass pitcher or ewer, in the style of the tortoiseshell or tiger patterns associated with Mdina Glass or Isle of Wight Studio Glass. The vessel features a wide, tapering neck ending in a flared rim and a bulbous, rounded body. A single, thick glass handle is applied, joining from the mid-neck to the shoulder. The glass is decorated with a mottled pattern of amber, ochre, and dark brown, achieved by incorporating coloured powders or frit into the molten glass. The exterior surface displays an iridescent, satin-lustre sheen, providing a metallic appearance. A small, circular white label is attached to the lower portion of the body, though any printed information is illegible. No incised signatures, factory backstamps, or acid-etched marks are discernible.
Approximate height: 25-30cm.
