This set of commemorative gilt metal and enamel lapel pins was produced to mark the Silver Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1977. The set comprises several badges, each designed in the form of a waving flag featuring heraldic symbols associated with the constituent nations of the United Kingdom and Royal heraldry. The designs include the Red Dragon of Wales, the Golden Harp of Ireland, the Lion Rampant of Scotland on a gold field, the Three Lions Passant Guardant of England, the Royal Banner of Scotland with the Lion Rampant on a red field, and the Scottish Unicorn. The items are presented in their original black textured presentation box. The exterior lid is gold-foil stamped with a crown above the date 1977, flanked by a laurel wreath and a scroll at the base inscribed THE QUEEN’S SILVER JUBILEE. The interior features a black velvet-effect base with a white fabric lid liner.
