A vintage metal garden chair designed in the style of Woodard’s Chantilly Rose pattern. The chair is constructed from wrought iron and features an ornate openwork backrest decorated with scrolling foliate motifs and a central circular lattice-weave medallion. The circular seat is similarly formed from a lattice-weave pattern, bordered by a decorative pierced frieze with a repeating shell or leaf motif. The chair is supported by four tubular legs joined by a single H-stretcher, terminating in small disc feet. The entire frame is finished in an off-white or cream paint which has been heavily distressed. No maker marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the item.
