A mid-century modern room divider or shelving unit, produced circa 1960s-1970s. The piece is constructed in two sections, consisting of a base cabinet and a detachable upper shelving unit. The lower section features a two-door cupboard with recessed decorative rectangular panels and stands on short tapered legs. The upper shelving unit is configured asymmetrically; the right-hand side contains three fixed-depth shelves, while the left-hand side features an open space with pre-drilled holes for adjustable shelving. A single wide shelf spans the top of the unit. The item is finished in a teak-coloured veneer on a composite wood base. No maker’s marks are visible.
