A mid-20th century stained wood sewing work table, likely constructed from beech or a similar hardwood with a mahogany-coloured finish. The table features a square hinged top that opens to reveal a storage compartment. The underside of the lid is upholstered in a button-tufted yellow satin-effect fabric, finished with a decorative braid trim. The lower storage compartment is lined with pleated material and contains an assortment of vintage sewing accessories and ephemera, including a Sewing Susan needle packet and fabric remnants. The piece is supported by four square tapered legs. No maker marks or labels are visible on the interior or exterior.
