A late Victorian mahogany pedestal library table. The solid mahogany top is designed with a protruding central section and chamfered corners, finished with a moulded edge. The conforming frieze contains a single drawer to the left side, fitted with a brass drop handle. Centrally, the frieze is decorated with a white foliate scrollwork motif. The table is supported by a large, heavily turned and carved central pedestal column, which rests upon a thick, shaped plinth base. The piece features two auction lot stickers on the top surface, numbered 0043 and 060. No maker’s marks are visible.
