Attributed to the Jozefina Glassworks in Krosno, Poland, this hand-blown art glass basket features a dark oxblood or maroon body with internal cream and yellow speckled frit decoration, encased within a clear glass layer. The vessel is designed with a wide, ruffled, and crimped rim. It is supported by an applied clear glass base with five pulled feet, a form often referred to as an octopus base. The piece is finished with a tall, arched clear glass handle featuring applied decorative rigaree protrusions along its length. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels were identified during inspection.
