This collection of mid-20th-century British earthenware is attributed to Lord Nelson Pottery, England, featuring a distinctive heavily crazed amber glaze and silver-toned lustre highlights. The group consists of thirteen pieces: eight mugs or tankards of varying sizes, one small circular tray, and four miniature cups. The decoration across the collection consists of black transfer-printed scenes including topographical views such as Manorbier Castle, rural figurative scenes with horse-drawn carriages and tavern settings, and veteran motor cars. The miniature cups specifically depict ‘LANCHESTER’ and ‘BENZ’ car models. Several items feature silver-coloured metallic-effect glaze to the rims and handles.
