A portable automatic record player from the mid-20th century, presented in a two-tone rexine-covered wooden cabinet of cream and slate-grey/blue. The interior features a BSR (Birmingham Sound Reproducers) Monarch four-speed turntable deck, identified by a gold-toned brand label. The mechanism includes a curved cream plastic tone arm, a tall stacking spindle for multi-disc playback, and a metal stabilising over-arm. Two control dials are located on the deck: one for speed selection (16, 33, 45, and 78 RPM) and one for operational functions (REJ, ON, OFF, MAN). Three external control knobs are mounted to the right-hand side panel, typically serving volume and tone adjustments. The aesthetic and configuration are highly consistent with the Dansette Bermuda model.
