A Neo-Classical style wall mirror featuring an octagonal frame constructed from a moulded composite or gesso material. The frame is finished in an antique gold-toned gilt. The top of the mirror is surmounted by an ornate cresting piece comprising two addorsed winged griffins flanking a central flaming urn on a pedestal. The body of the frame is decorated with gadrooned or rope-twist borders on both the inner and outer edges, with additional scrollwork details at the upper corners. The mirror plate is secured within the octagonal frame. No maker marks or labels are visible.
