A vintage painted cast iron doorstop in the form of three geese standing on a textured, grass-like base. The geese are arranged in a staggered row, painted white with orange beaks and feet. Each bird is adorned with a large, moulded blue ribbon bow around its neck. The piece is characteristic of decorative country kitchen wares from the late 20th century. The integral base is finished in dark green paint. No factory marks or model numbers are visible in the photograph, although visually identical items are often attributed to the late 1980s.
