A collection of glazed earthenware Toby and character jugs, traditionally styled and hand-painted with polychrome enamels under a clear gloss glaze. The assortment includes two full-bodied Toby jugs depicting seated gentlemen in 18th-century attire, featuring brown tricorn hats, long red coats, green breeches, and yellow stockings, each shown holding a tankard. The collection also contains three character jugs: a large Cavalier figure with a plumed hat and distinctive moustache; a Yeoman Warder character wearing a traditional Tudor bonnet with red and white detailing; and a smaller character jug depicting a gentleman in a tricorn hat and white wig. Based on form and decoration, these items are in the style of Staffordshire potteries such as Wood and Sons or Tony Wood Studio. No manufacturer marks are visible on the exterior surfaces.
