An Art Deco style cream-coloured cigarette box manufactured from urea-formaldehyde, identified as a commemorative souvenir produced for the Festival of Britain in 1951. The rectangular body is designed with distinctive vertical ribbing to the curved ends and features a hinged lid with a thumb-recess at the front edge for opening. A circular area of adhesive residue to the centre of the lid indicates where the original Festival of Britain medallion was previously attached. The box is constructed from a moulded synthetic resin characteristic of mid-20th-century production.
