A tall floor-standing candle stand of hand-wrought iron construction. The piece features a circular drip pan at the summit with a central pricket spike designed to secure a large candle. The slender upright stem incorporates a decoratively twisted upper section situated above a mid-section embellished with hand-forged scrolled foliate-style ironwork flourishes. The assembly is supported by a tripod base comprising three splayed and down-curved legs. The entire stand is finished with a uniform dark blackened patina. No maker’s marks, signatures, or inscriptions are visible.
