A mid-20th century British oak hall stand exhibiting stylistic influences of the Art Deco period. The piece is constructed from oak with a dark-stained finish and prominent grain. The tall backboard features a distinctive rounded top, inset with a central circular mirror and fitted with six patinated metal double-ended coat hooks. The lower section includes a storage compartment with a hinged rectangular lid, likely for gloves, situated above a single panelled cupboard door. This is flanked to one side by an integrated open well for the storage of umbrellas or walking sticks. The construction features panelled sides and a plinth base. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the piece.
