A mid-20th-century pressed steel ammunition or equipment storage box, finished in dark olive-drab paint. The box features a rectangular form with a hinged lid and a top-mounted, folding metal carrying handle. It is secured by a heavy-duty, toggle-style latch mounted to one end. This design is consistent with military-issue small arms ammunition containers, particularly those attributed to the Burrowes Manufacturing Company or similar wartime contractors for .30 calibre belt ammunition. The interior condition is not visible. No manufacturer stamps, dates, or military property markings are discernible on the exterior surfaces shown.
