A George III style mahogany kneehole desk or dressing table. The rectangular top features a moulded edge above an arrangement of five drawers set around a central kneehole. The kneehole is accented by a decorative shaped apron. Each drawer front is finished with crossbanded borders and fitted with brass swan-neck handles on shaped backplates, accompanied by central brass-lined keyholes. The piece is elevated on four square-tapered legs. The construction utilises mahogany veneers and solid mahogany components. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the exterior of the piece.
