A static display model of a London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) Class 8P Duchess 4-6-2 Pacific steam locomotive and tender, numbered 6220 and named Coronation. This model is attributed to the Great British Locomotives partwork series by Atlas Editions and represents the locomotive in its streamlined 1938 configuration. The model is finished in maroon crimson lake livery with gold-coloured speed-stripe detailing. Visible markings include the name Coronation on the boiler side and the cab number 6220, with the tender featuring the initials L M S. The model is constructed from a combination of die-cast metal and plastic components and is mounted on a black plastic display plinth with a simulated track bed. A gold-toned label on the front of the base identifies the subject as 1938: Class 8P Duchess No. 6220 Coronation. The item is housed in its original clear plastic clamshell blister packaging.
