This mahogany bureau is from the Minstrel range by Stag Furniture. The fall-front opens to reveal a fitted interior containing a central arrangement of two horizontal shelves and four vertical pigeonholes. The interior writing surface is inset with a green leatherette panel featuring a gilt-tooled border. The carcase is designed with a row of three short drawers positioned above two full-width, graduated long drawers. The short drawers are fitted with circular brass pull-knobs, and the long drawers feature brass ring-pull handles. The piece is supported on traditional bracket feet.
