A vintage silver filigree pendant featuring a central oval red cabochon. The cabochon is set in a plain bezel and exhibits a uniform, opaque red colour characteristic of Mediterranean red coral. The surrounding metalwork consists of elaborate filigree formed into a scalloped sunburst motif with radial petals of twisted wire. This style of intricate wirework is frequently associated with Chinese Export jewellery from the early to mid-20th century. The piece is fitted with a simple, unadorned bail.
