A mid-20th century British tabletop valve radio, Model 62, manufactured for Radio Rentals Ltd. The cabinet is constructed from dark brown bakelite, featuring a rectangular form with a series of horizontal louvres over the left-hand speaker section. The right-hand side contains a glass-fronted analog slide-rule tuning dial. The dial face displays three wavebands: Short Wave (SW), Medium Wave (MW), and Long Wave (LW), in addition to a GRAM setting for an external phonograph input. The scale is printed with numerous international and UK-specific station names, including the BBC Light, Home, and Third programmes. Four matching brown control knobs for power/volume, tone, waveband selection, and tuning are located beneath the dial. A square logo containing a stylized RR monogram is present on the bottom-left of the front panel. The reverse of the radio features a brown back panel with a metal identification plate riveted to the centre. The plate is inscribed: NOT TO BE SOLD / THE PROPERTY OF / RADIO RENTALS LTD.
