An octagonal wall mirror in the Regency style, likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The mirror is housed in a molded composition or gesso frame over a timber core. The frame is surmounted by an elaborate cresting depicting a central classical urn flanked by two confronted winged gryphons. The octagonal frame features a repeating beaded or gadrooned border and is finished in a distressed dark gilt or bronze-toned patina. The mirror plate is inset within the molded frame.
