A near-pair of contemporary solid pine three-drawer bedside chests, characteristic of the traditional farmhouse style popular in late 20th-century British interiors. The chests are constructed throughout from solid pine with a warm honey-coloured finish. While similar in overall proportion and function, they feature distinct decorative elements. One chest is designed with a plain, rounded-edge top and three drawers fitted with smooth, turned wooden knobs. The second chest features a more ornate, stepped and shaped top edge, with its drawers finished with textured, grooved wooden knobs. Both units are supported by four turned wooden bun feet. The drawer fronts are of solid pine construction.
