This is a mid-century modern extending dining table, characteristic of Danish-influenced design from the 1960s. The table is constructed with a rectangular top finished in a rich rosewood veneer, featuring a deep reddish-brown colour and a prominent, dark linear grain pattern. The subframe and four slender, tapering cylindrical legs are crafted from solid wood, finished to match the top. The table features two integrated Dutch-style draw-out extension leaves housed beneath the main surface, which slide out from either end to increase the seating capacity. The design is in the style of contemporary pieces produced by makers such as Niels Koefoed for Hornslet or Yngve Ekstrom.
