This is a trio of mid-century modern nesting tables attributed to the British manufacturer Sunelm, dating from the 1970s. Each table is constructed with a hardwood frame, finished in teak, featuring a rectangular sled-style leg design with rounded corners and lower cross-stretchers to facilitate nesting. The inset tops are composed of four square ceramic tiles. These tiles are decorated with a lithographed botanical motif depicting horse chestnuts, or conkers, in husks with foliage, rendered in a palette of brown and ochre tones on a speckled cream ground. The tables are designed to store compactly beneath one another.
